The 6940B Multiprogrammer: accepts a maximum of 15 plug-in I/O cards. Mainframe has two 50-contact, ribbon data connectors. Data transfer rate: Data transfer rate of 20 k words / Sec. Maximum data resolution of 12 bits / plug-in card. Front panel controls: provide power ON/OFF switch and indicator lamp, Remote/Local switch for selecting computer or manual control, and 19 proximity switches for manual data entry and control.
