The HP 54753A is a two-channel vertical plug-in with a TDR step generator built into channel one. The bandwidth of the TDR/vertical channel is 18 GHZ. The bandwidth of channel two is 20 GHz. The step generator provides a 200 mV TDR step with a system rise time of <45 ps. The system has the ability to normalize the TDR by applying a digital filter. Normalization removes errors caused by loss or imperfect launchers or cables. The rise time of the normalization filter may be varied to allow you to simulate the edge speeds found in your system. You may also push the rise time up to 10 ps. Unlike the HP 54120 series, the normalization filter when activated processes every acquisition so you see changes as the DUT is adjusted. The HP 54753A provides support for external step generators such as the PicoSecond Pulse Labs 4015C.

This is our used Tektronix MTM400 MPEG Transport Stream Monitor w/Options QB2,04,05. Tektronix has added new monitoring capabilities for video services carried across an IP network to the MTM400 MPEG transport stream monitor.

The device now provides simultaneous monitoring of critical key performance indicators (KPIs) for up to 500 MPEG transport streams carried within a GigE link.

It monitors critical MPEG transport stream errors (sync and continuity count), IP packet errors (lost and out of order RTP packets and packet CRC errors) and IP timing (packet inter-arrival time). The transport stream error testing is undertaken at the PID level.

Also newly available is automatic channel changing capability to poll multiple streams for the MTM400 sequentially.

The simultaneous monitoring will ship as a standard feature of the MTM400 with GigE interface and is available as an upgrade for existing customers. Automatic channel changing is available as an option for both new and existing MTM400 users.

In most applications, the graph shows how signals change over time: the vertical (Y) axis represents voltage and the horizontal (X) axis represents time. The intensity or brightness of the display is sometimes called the Z axis. The Tektronix TDS754D oscilloscope's simple graph can tell you many things about a signal, such as: the time and voltage values of a signal, the frequency of an oscillating signal, the ¿moving parts¿ of a circuit represented by the signal, the frequency with which a particular portion of the signal is occurring relative to, other portions, whether or not a malfunctioning component is distorting the signal, how much of a signal is direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC) and how much of the signal is noise and whether the noise is changing with time.
